Is your customer on Peppol?

Enter your customer's VAT or company number and see in a few seconds whether the business is on Peppol, under which Peppol ID and what it can receive.

For Belgian and Dutch businesses. We do not keep anything you enter.

What do you see in the result?

What next?

If your customer is on Peppol, you send a structured e-invoice. If not, it depends on where you are established and what your customer wants: read does your webshop have to use Peppol? PeppolKit handles this for every order automatically, see the pricing.

How does the check work?

We look the number up in OpenPeppol's public Peppol Directory and check the VAT number in VIES, the European Commission's VAT database. That shows whether the number exists, under which name, and which documents the business can receive.

A Directory listing is not mandatory. A business you do not find there may still be reachable. The real check happens when you send, see how to send a Peppol invoice.

Frequently asked questions

Is this check free?

Yes. You do not have to install anything or create an account.

Which businesses can I look up?

Belgian businesses with a VAT or company number, and Dutch businesses with a VAT number or an 8-digit KvK number.

What if my customer is not found?

A listing in the Peppol Directory is not mandatory. Ask your customer for their Peppol ID. If they cannot be reached, you may deliver the invoice another way, for example as a PDF by email, if your customer agrees.

Do you store the numbers I enter?

No. We do not keep anything you enter. The lookup uses the public Peppol Directory and VIES.
