Connect bol.com to PeppolKit

With two keys from your seller account, PeppolKit creates an invoice for every bol.com shipment and puts it on the order. There is nothing to install.

What happens after connecting

One invoice per shipment. PeppolKit looks at shipments you send yourself (FBR) and at shipments handled by bol (FBB), creates the invoice and puts the PDF on the order in bol.com. Your customer downloads it there.
Invoice requests. When a customer asks for an invoice, bol.com gives you 24 hours. PeppolKit checks every ten minutes and answers open requests on its own.
Belgian businesses with a Peppol address also receive the invoice over Peppol.
Returns. When bol.com refunds your customer for a return, PeppolKit creates a credit note referring to the original invoice. Not for an exchange or repair. bol.com takes only one invoice per shipment, so the credit note stays in PeppolKit and goes over Peppol to Belgian businesses.

Your customer does not get the invoice by e-mail: bol.com only passes on a relay address.

Connect in three steps

Create the keys in bol.com. In your seller account go to Settings → Services → API settings. Add a technical contact if asked. Under Client credentials for the Retailer API choose Create and name them PeppolKit. Copy the Client ID and the Secret.
Paste them in PeppolKit. Open app.peppolkit.com/bol (the Connect bol.com button on the bol.com page). Fill in Client ID, Secret and your e-mail address, agree to the terms and the privacy policy, and click Connect. We send your login links to that address. If bol.com doesn't recognise the keys, you see: "bol.com doesn't recognise this Client ID and Secret. Copy them again from your seller account."
Fill in your company details. You land in the dashboard under Settings. On the tab Company and VAT enter your name, address, VAT number and KvK or enterprise number. As long as these are missing, shipments wait for an invoice.

The first check runs within ten minutes. On the overview, the bol.com card shows how many invoices were put on bol.com, how many requests are open and how many credit notes were created.

VAT rate per product

bol.com doesn't pass on a VAT rate. PeppolKit uses the standard rate (21% in the Netherlands and Belgium, or the rate of the customer's country if you file through the OSS). Selling books, food or other reduced-rate products? Set the rate per EAN on the bol.com tab, one product per line, for example 9789044350950 = 9, and click Save rates.

Peppol and costs

The free plan includes 10 invoices a month. If you reach that limit, you see "shipments are waiting for an invoice: your monthly limit is reached", with a link to your subscription. Disconnect

Click Disconnect on the bol.com tab under Settings. PeppolKit deletes your keys right away and stops creating invoices for bol.com; your invoices stay available for 30 days. You can also always revoke the API keys yourself in your bol.com seller account.

Frequently asked questions

As a bol.com seller, do I have to invoice myself?

Yes. With Selling via bol you are the seller and must be able to give a correct invoice. bol.com only sends your customer a payment summary.

Are orders from before I connected invoiced too?

PeppolKit invoices shipments from the moment you connect, plus every open invoice request from a customer. Older shipments for which nobody asks for an invoice do not get one.

Does a credit note also appear in bol.com?

No. bol.com accepts only one invoice per shipment, so the credit note stays in PeppolKit and goes over Peppol to Belgian businesses.

Is it safe to share my API keys?

The keys only give access to your seller account through the Retailer API. PeppolKit stores the Secret encrypted and uses it only for orders, shipments and invoices. You can revoke the keys at any time.

Is PeppolKit listed in bol.com's Apps & Services?

Not yet. bol.com adds partners twice a year and first asks for a number of users. Until then, you connect with API keys.
